Een deel van de opbrengsten van de Letters van Utrecht gaat altijd naar een goed doel rond behoud en bevordering van beschaving, ook om het doel daarmee meer aandacht te geven. In het tweede jaar (juni 2013 t/m mei 2014) is het goede doel de Stichting Leergeld Utrecht. Deze heeft als missie het voorkomen van sociale uitsluiting van kinderen uit gezinnen met minimale financiële middelen. “Stichting Leergeld is het matras onder het vangnet” (Annie Brouwer-Korf) 
De Stichting Letters van Utrecht richt zich op de lange termijn ‘for the benefit of future people’ en opereert zonder winstoogmerk. Een deel van de opbrengst en alle winst zal worden geschonken aan goede doelen rond behoud en bevordering van beschaving.In the second year (June 2013 – May 2014) the good cause supported by the Letters of Utrecht is the Stichting (Foundation) Leergeld Utrecht. The Letters of Utrecht are a long term project dedicated to the benefit of future people. It shall operate entirely ‘not for profit’. Part of the income and all profit shall be donated to good causes developing civilization and making it last.
